Lake Michigan Morning was painted after a day spent painting out at the Big Lake with a group of plein air students that I had the pleasure of working with. My initial painting rendered outdoors was the basis for this studio version. This painting was based on my outing at Holland State Park, Holland, Michigan. Rendered on Saunders Waterford 200# CP, 100% Cotton Rag, Holbein Pigments, Rosemary Brushes, Sandra L. Strohschein Field Set. The painting is Available.

Thank you Warren! That is the fun of watercolor for me......seeing the pigments merge on the paper.....I actually use my paper as the palette much of the time....mixing there double and triple loading the brush with color.
